General tourist visa information

 

For tourist visits to Bolivia, there are three groups of countries:

  1. List of countries that do not require a Tourism Visa to enter to Bolivia (Group I)
  2. List of countries that require a tourist visa to enter to Bolivia (Group II: without consultation)
  3. List of countries that require a tourist visa to enter to Bolivia (Group III: with consultation)

Nationals included in Group I, do not need to apply for a visa to enter to Bolivia if their travel is for touristic purposes only, and can remain in national territory for a maximum of 90 days per year. At the time of their entry to Bolivia they must present their passports with a validity of at least six months, a round trip ticket and an international yellow fever vaccine certificate if the travel includes endemic regions (check the list)

Important. If the purpose of travel is different of tourism, nationals of any group require a visa, depending on their purpose of entering Bolivia.

The Netherlands is in Group I, therefore, Dutch nationals do not need to apply for a visa to enter Bolivia, if their travel is for tourism, and can stay in national territory for a maximum of 90 days per year. If the purpose of travel is different to tourism, nationals of the Netherlands require a visa, depending on their purpose of entering Bolivia.
