Passports renewal
A Bolivian passport is valid for six years. In case of expiration, loss, theft or deterioration, a new passport must be requested.
The steps for the passport renewal are:
First:
Send a scanned copy or picture in good quality of the information page of the passport for the data verification by the migration and SEGIP systems. This documentation must be sent to:

Once the information is verified, we set an appointment for the capturing of data. The day of the appointment the interested person must bring the following:
- The expired passport (original) or identity card (original)
- Proof of payment for the cost of the passport.
- In case of loss or theft of the passport, the police complaint must be presented.
Third:
Once the passport arrives to the Consulate (around two or three weeks after the application) the interested person must personally pick up the document.
