A Bolivian passport is valid for six years. In case of expiration, loss, theft or deterioration, a new passport must be requested.

The steps for the passport renewal are:

First:
Send a scanned copy or picture in good quality of the information page of the passport for the data verification by the migration and SEGIP systems. This documentation must be sent to: boliviaconsularlahaya@gmail.com

Second:
Once the information is verified, we set an appointment for the capturing of data. The day of the appointment the interested person must bring the following:

  1. The expired passport (original) or identity card (original)

  2. Proof of payment for the cost of the passport.

  3. In case of loss or theft of the passport, the police complaint must be presented.

Third:
Once the passport arrives to the Consulate (around two or three weeks after the application) the interested person must personally pick up the document.

Cost: 85 USD

* The Consular Section will send you the bank account in which you must make the deposit before your appointment.
